I’ve been using Viviscal hair vitamins for about a month now and I’m so pleasantly surprised that I have to write my Viviscal review.

I’m a female in my late 20′s and I’ve suffered from hair loss since I was a teen.  After the birth of my baby, it got even worse.  My hair fell out in handfulls to the point where I now have about 1/3 of my hair left.  My hair really is a disaster – very fine and wispy – a real problem!

I was desperate and I tried everything – Rogaine, hair supplements, changed my diet, protein shakes – everything but nothing has worked.

Then I decided to try Viviscal and WOW!  Finally something that works!  My hair loss has slowed down and my nails are growing like crazy and look absolutely amazing.  There is now hardly any hair in my hand when I run my fingers through my hair and the shower doesn’t get clogged up by my hair anymore.  I’m also sweeping up less hair and after a hair wash there is only a few hair strands in the basin compared to the 40+ that I usually had.

My scalp is still highly visible.  Viviscal has stopped my hair loss but it hasn’t done anything for hair re growth.  But to be fair, I’ve only used it for about a month and it does say to give it at least 3 months.

I LOVE Batiste Dry Shampoo, it simply is the best dry shampoo for color-treated hair.  My hair is a bright blue and if I wash it with regular shampoo, the color fades away in no time.  Batiste dry shampoo is great!  By the end of day 2 my hair is oily.  On the morning of day 3 I use Batiste dry shampoo and I look as if I have just stepped out of a salon.

A few tips when using Batiste dry shampoo:

Start with less dry shampoo than what you think you’ll need;
Remember that this process will work at most twice after which you’ll have to wash your hair again;
Although the smell is not repulsive, it is fairly strong.  My advice is to apply it at least an hour before you go out.  This will ensure that the smell has faded a little;
Don’t use any other hair products when using dry shampoo;

The best way to use it is as follows:

Lift and part the hair and spray the roots.  Let it sit for 3 – 5 minutes;
Using your fingers, comb it through starting from the roots combing out to the hair tips;
Use a bristle brush to blend in any shampoo that is left.

I’m thinking of trying out some of the other brands but I think Batiste dry shampoo will be hard to beat.
