We always get advices from health gurus and nutritionist that healthy living should be our way of life. Well, they are not wrong about it as life is already too short as it is especially that we have made our living as complicated as before. Most of us hope to live better amidst the barrage of complications brought about by commercialism and industrialization. Our society have become so detached to the core of their being that we have made ourselves a lot of fancy toys to accumulate. But your life changes so quickly that with all the years you have spent on daily routines from home to the office and the other way around, you just woke up one day realizing that you have missed so much of the joys of life.
Billboards, TV ads, and magazines have its own ways of conveying to us what is healthy living but most of these are simply tricks. So how do we live better in today’s chaos? We start by taking the clutter out of our lives. But what do we really consider as clutters? These are basically the things that do not bring value to our being. Nonetheless, there are basic necessities that should stay as it may be needed in our profession. Yet there are also things that can just go away as it only just fill our minds even if it does not have value at all. Just like a big mass of audio component in your living room, how many times have you even turned on the sound system to play your favorite music?
And so the way to healthy living is to eliminate your head of all the worries in accumulating material possessions that gives no meaning to our lives. If our environment is organized and clutter-free, our disposition will also follow. Just like a person placed in a room filled with piles of junk, immediately he will feel drained and perhaps anxious whether a thing might fall over him. Thus, we must live better by trying to keep what are essential to our homes and our work. Anything in excess should be segregated and given to those who are most in need of those things. Live a stress-free lifestyle by eating healthy and feeding your spiritual needs with practical wisdom.
